Founder | Director of Canine Operations

I am the owner and operator of Savage K‑9 Solutions, where I specialize in developing, training, and placing high‑level working dogs for a wide range of clients. My work spans explosive detection, narcotics detection, procurement, curriculum design, and handler education — all grounded in a commitment to ethical training, operational readiness, and real‑world performance.

My foundation in working dogs began in the early 2000s as a kennel tech for bear-hunting dogs.  There, I oversaw the health, wellness, and daily operations of the kennel while developing training plans that supported a high‑drive working pack. Those early years shaped my understanding of canine behavior, structure, and the discipline required to run a professional working‑dog program.

Today, alongside my work at Savage K‑9, I serve as Chief Operating Officer and Co‑Owner of Von Duro Wildheit, where I manage our breeding program, guide litter selection, and specialize in early puppy exposure and socialization. Under my leadership, VDW has donated 30% of its bred dogs to police departments and veterans in need of a battle buddy — a philanthropic commitment that reflects my belief in service and community impact. My experience in breeding and early development directly strengthens the training and placement work I do through Savage K‑9.

I completed a 400-hour training course in Summer 2025 with Liberty K-9 Training with a focus in explosives detection and K-9 training for handlers. Continuous education is a core part of my philosophy — I’m always learning from respected mentors in the working‑dog community and expanding the skills I bring to my clients and dogs.

Across every role I hold, my mission remains the same: to deepen my understanding of working dogs and apply that knowledge in ways that produce capable, confident, and reliable K‑9 partners. Savage K‑9 Solutions is the heart of that mission — a place where training, purpose, and passion come together to support the dogs who serve and the handlers who depend on them.
